Little Cook

Cheeks flushed from the exertion Sophie presents her freshly baked buns. She got a Big Cook Little cook bakery set from Granny for her birthday and we only got around to using it tonight.
I was helping out – kitchen assistant. I thought I was a page or two ahead on the book – actually on line – I had to look up how to cook buns. I turned my back and heard a crack behind me. Sophie had started cracking eggs into the bowl by herself. Obviously learned more from the TV than I thought.

Cheesy grin!

All I’ve got for you today is the biggest cheesy grin this side of Cheshire. Lunch at Peaberry’s on Saturday afternoon. Actually she was eating a cheesy crostini thing too which may explain the cheesiness! Had a very nice relaxed weekend here with Frances visiting – Jean is all talked out and Sophie got to show off and play up for three days running.

Sophie’s Birthday Party

Everyone met up at home in Ireland for Sophie’s party at the weekend. Sophie had a lot of fun with her friend Ciaran. They look a right pair. They spent the whole time running up and down in the garden and couldn’t be persuaded back in to the house. Baby Cian wasn’t quite up to the excitement but I’m sure he will be next year!

Sophie gets her cycling proficiency badge

Definitely very happy cycling around – we headed off for what I thought would be a quick spin but she decided to go for coffee (ie. “cake”) in town so we went right into the town and stopped for food, and then back again. Thankfully I wasn’t required to carry both the bike and Sophie home.
