Lauren getting stronger by the day

We’ve just moved into a rented place for a few weeks – the plan being the builder pulls the finger out and gets everything finished for us in that time. Nice to be out of the construction site and into comfortable surroundings again. Great to have the girls back – I was really missing them and of course missing the day to day changes in Lauren. She really is getting big now, taking more of an interest in her surroundings, playing with toys on her baby gym, etc.
Anyhow, a few pictures!

Bye bye house

Or, “about bleedin’ time”.

Time to say goodbye to the house in Dublin. The sale took rather longer than we hoped. Sale agreed in late February, completed yesterday! The market is completely different to the last time we nearly sold it in 2005. I wonder where we would be if we had sold in 2005? Unfortunately for us and the buyers at the time my old company went titsup (as recorded by The Register some months later) about a week after we agreed to sell so we decided to pull out until I was back in gainful employment.

Anyway, it’s gone now!

Big Sister!

We are having a great time here in Spain. Just south of Barbelona in a camp site. Sophie is really killing Lauren with kindness – almost literally with all the fruseme hugs – really loving being a big sister. She seems to think though that with the title Big Sister comes stature. She sat at dinner tonight measuring herself against the wall then drinking some milk (cause milk makes you grow!) then measuring herself again. Very disappointed not to be as big as mummy yet despite the ‘Big’ afforded by her new title. Lauren is doing very well – really stretching out and smiling a lot. Jean is totally relaxing. Making use of the massage and other girly facilities here. There is a full gym and brilliant spa type set up here. Bubbles in the water and everything. As for me – totally relaxed.

Leaving Laytown

Jean and Lauren have said goodbye to Mimi and Helen and thankfully have decided stay on for an extra week in Tipperary so Bibi finally is finally getting to see Lauren! Laytown was great and I really appreciate everyone’s help in looking after Jean when she was so sick. A building site is no place to be at a time like this even if I am missing them and want them to come home. Hopefully things will be a little more civilised in the house by the time they get back!
