Kcom had their annual family day at the Hull Kingston Rovers stadium on Sunday. Football tournament, bouncy castles, trampolines, etc. Sophie in her element. She even brought her own football. Hopefully this video will work – mp4 from the phone but Quicktime should handle it. Clodagh put the football into her hoodie and we watched her run around trying to get it out. Here goes: Adam

Back from our visit home to Nenagh and Laytown. Sophie was great fun on this trip – she really gets the idea that we are in England, and we’re travelling to Ireland. I’ve promised to show her some pics and maps to explain things better! But she definitely gets it. She started rolling off the names of her school friends – Charlie’s got England, Alfie’s got England, etc, followed by William’s got Ireland, Bibi’s got Ireland….. Sometimes she’s just a bit too clued in. Take for example the visit to the coffee shop in Nenagh – there she is sitting beside Marie and Breeda when a friend of Breeda joins us for a coffee. Sophie started doing the introductions – “this is Marie, that’s Daddy, that’s Bibi…”. Adam
Welcome home to Ireland – a 30 min queue to get out of the port! Had time to ponder the stacks of containers including this pile of non-everlasting evergreen boxes. Dublin docklands is really incredible though. Totally buzzing today at lunchtime. He we move back i think i could handle working there. Looks so much better than the first phase of the IFSC with its perimeter guards and groundless air of exclusivity about it. Down towards the spencer dock area feels really quite cool. Anyway we are heading for Tipp tomorrow so will send a few more updates.
Hi ya i’m walking round furniture on my own & starting 2 crawl (more shuffle through trenches army style)yesterday i was a model mum made them take pic of me in nuddy so i peed everywhere!
100% humidity here in Harrogate today so I can’t say I’m looking forward to what the weekend brings unless it involves extended periods hanging around in pyjamas. Here’s a reminder of what the summer was like, 5 weeks ago, when we were all giving out about it. Owen is doing his best to get Sophie into guitar playing, piano playing, golfing, football and slapping him upside the head. The last she needs no encouragement with.
