Tellytubbie land

This is tellytubbie land near the office – little hills, fake looking hedges, just needs some plastic flowers, bunny rabbits and of course some tellytubbies. Haven’t stated watching rubbish telly with Sophie yet, but I can tell her they live here. Unfortunately the Mongol Hordes have set up camp nearby. Beautiful day here today – about 23 degrees they’re saying.

UPDATE! Oops! Far from being invading Mongol hordes – this was the set up for Duesseldorf’s EU Expansion party on Saturday! Bit of a Faux Pax in anyone’s language.

Hey! – just found our new apartment in Dusseldorf!

700m to work – I think I can walk that? Yes I did actually measure the distance on the map! Just viewed the place half an hour ago but we agreed to take it immediately. It is a bit smaller than the place we are in and we will miss the beautiful trees and gardens but we want to be in the heart of town.

The apartment is right in the Media Harbour area near great buildings like the Frank Gehry Zollhof buildings below. My excitable architect sister Helen naturally assumed the apartment was in the Frank Gehry buildings, but I’m afraid not! Will post a pic later!

Jean and Sophie

Went for a walk in Benrath Schloss, just south of Dusseldorf on Sunday. Sophie has just learned how to roll over and keeps doing it. Will have to keep an even closer eye on her now! She’s also learning to sit up by herself which she will no doubt have mastered in a day! Todaythe girls went swimming for the first time and by all accounts Sophie loved it. Might have to get my own feet wet soon!
