Older than I care to think about. I still squint like that when in bright light, so does Sophie. This is an old slide of my Dad’s. I bought a slide scanner (Plustek Opticfilm 7200) and I’m just starting to convert all his old slides to digital. This is the first one I’ve worked with and it’s not bad, but there is quite a lot of cracking and dust and dirt to deal with on each slide.

Out with owen on the beach getting wet and kicking a ball about. Lovely day despite the weather. We arrived in Ireland last night via ferry to Dublin. Had the great excitement of a first trip through Dublins long awaited post tunnel. Which was long narrow and deep just as expected. Just relaxing today though.
Been a while since my last post. We’ve had visits from Helen and Marc and Oonagh and Adam (plus Paddy) since January.
Sophie has also had a visit from the “Chicken Pops” which kept her at home for a week. Here she shows off her spots in all their glory. She’s recovered now but moving on to a cold this week by the sound of it.
We’ve also been busy thinking about getting started planning for the arrival of baby no 2 in about 8 weeks time. We’ve been attending antenatal classes in Darley near Harrogate and it is just amazing how little we know about it. Totally bluffed Sophie’s birth I think!
No other developments on the house I’m afraid. I wonder if we will get any major work done before the baby arrives.
